Acrylic Laminate on Gatorfoam uses an Acrylic face on a dense Gatorfoam base adding thickness and depth to the letters. Gatorfoam is denser than foam and resists weather better than foam This adds thickness from ? to 2 inches. The edges are painted in a matte paint, sealing them to weather. Ideal for outdoor building signs. Available thicknesses are 1/8”, 3/16”, 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, 1 1/2”, 2“, and 3”

Metal Laminate on 2 lb. or 10 lb. foam Dimensional letters have all the advantages of a solid metallic letter face at a reduced cost. The edges are painted matte focusing attention on the face. This also allows for greater thickness than available with solid metal stock. While not as resilient as solid aluminum, Gatorfoam, or PVC it will outlast most applications. Ideal for the lobby.
Metal Laminate on Gatorfoam Dimensional letters have all the advantages of a solid metallic letter face at a reduced cost. Gatorfoam is less susceptible to the environment than standard foam and is ideal for outside use. While not as resilient as solid aluminum, it will outlast most application. Ideal for building walls and monuments.
Metal Laminate on PVC Dimensional letters have all the advantages of a solid metallic letter face at a reduced cost. PVC is a resilient material and outlasts all but the harshest environments. Substrate Materials –
Foam – 2 lb. and 10 lb. foam is very cost effective, lightweight, easy to mount making this material very popular for indoor use.
Gatorfoam is a high-density polystyrene closed cell foam. It resists humidity, is durable and used on many indoor and outdoor applications. It is more expensive than foam
PVC is a solid plastic commonly found in pipes, some fences and other outdoor elements. It is rigid, resists nearly all environmental threats and is common for outdoor use. It is more expensive than Gatorfoam
Aluminum and anodized Aluminum is resistant to all but the most hostile environments, resists corrosion (rust) and is the more resilient and expensive alternative.
The MDO (Medium Density Overlay) Wood is an outdoor rated plywood material sign board is a marine-grade wood. It is available in 4 X 8 and is paintable and is sealed for protection against rain and moister. Sign made of MDO can be cleaned with a wet cloth or with detergent. It can be attached to posts with screws or nails. MDO Wood is a very tough material that requires very little maintainence. If used outdoors you should check the sign every 6 months to make sure it is still secure and none of the mounting screws/bolts are loose (and tighten if necessary). Also check the painted edges and make sure the paint is not chipping or cracking. If your MDO Wood signs edges are shipping/cracking them just add a little paint over that to reseal the wood. This will prevent moisture and mold from causing the MDO Wood layers from separating and will keep your MDO wood looking great for years to come.
