One of the best ways to look new and fresh is to switch the sign faces out of your existing monument sign. Often monument signs are neglected and look old and bad. Tenants move, names change and the signs become weathered. How do we do this?
We take the old Acrylic out and reuse it. We strip off all the old vinyl and take a look at the condition of the Acrylic. Sometimes it is necessary to lightly sand off a very small amount of the old surface to remove any yellowing or shadowing. Once the surface is renewed, we cut out new letters and shapes. These are applied to the face and we end up with a new sign. Slide it back into the cabinet and your face is new again.
Often the condition of the Acrylic is poor and we use the old Acrylic as a pattern for the new sign. We cut a new piece and apply the vinyl. There are 3 factors with reusing the Acrylic or using new. 1) If there is damage: cracking, discoloration, wrapping or other defects, you need new. 2) Often the old vinyl is very old and the labor cost to remove the vinyl is close to or even more than the cost of new. 3) Sometimes the customer just wants new. Contact us and we will get you going on a new, cleaner look.
