Fashion Valley Mall is one of San Diego’s trendiest destinations. There are more than 200 stores including international fashion houses like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Rolex, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and Nordstrom. Walking through this mall allows you to experience the coastal chic lifestyle of Southern California.
Finding your ultimate destination in a mall this large can be a challenge. Fashion Valley mall is filled with living succulent walls, gorgeous palm trees, iconic fountains, and its newest environmental navigation tool: high-resolution digital displays. The mall tapped Gable to provide and Signs for San Diego to install an array of them, creating a new LED digital environment with a dynamic system of full-color, 6mm high resolution signage. There are about 14 digital displays throughout the mall, all intended to maximize the visitor experience.
Signs for San Diego turned this project out quickly. We had two types of footings: one on ground level and the other on the upper floor. The ground level footing was straightforward – concrete poured into a set form and placed in an excavated site. The power and communication lines were accounted for as well. The upper floor footings were mounted into existing concrete using epoxy anchors. The anchors were drilled into the deck and specific depths to gain the structural support, but we had to be careful not to hit any embedded rebar, plumbing, or communication cables and not weaken the structure.
Do you have a unique project or a vision for signage like this? We would love to work with you at Signs for San Diego.
