Signage Solution: Install a package of signage to rebrand an older downtown building
Punch Bowl Social is all about experiencing real-world “funning and foodertainment” and connecting with fellow people. There, guests are treated like rock stars and rock stars are treated like guests. It has a Victorian era feel with a dirty modern design in a place for people to come and be themselves.
“Inside the Coliseum Athletic Club in Makers Quarter, this famous boxing marquee turned Punch Bowl Social San Diego now has the spotlight on people vs. food; people vs. shots and people vs. games in true Cali style.”

Signs for San Diego installed these signs, which were fabricated by Texas Custom Signs of Terrace Cedar Park (https://texascustomsigns.com). This is an interesting association. In many cases, national sign companies will use Signs for San Diego to install signs in Southern California because of the local content of the task. For example, Signs for San Diego provides the following:
- A specialty contractor’s license for electrical signs. Without a California contractor’s license, the permits cannot be issued.
- Aerial lifts required to do the installs. Though expensive equipment, it means we have OSHA crane certificates and experienced installers.
- Fixing and making the connection elements with an underwriter certified manufacturer.
A little about these signs. Neon has become a nostalgic element. Its certain “look” was exactly what Punch Bowl Social wanted. All three channel letter sets shown in this post are neon.
The chandeliers are unique, and each is assembled in place. There is a hidden transformer as well.
